We sure do love this corner of the world that we live in. There is so much beauty in the drastic landscapes, the rich cultures and history of the area, and the art. It makes our Southwest hearts so happy when we find stunning fabric that represents our part of the country! Rayon Batik Scarves
I don't know about the rest of you, but this cold weather caught me a little off guard! I had to go dig out my scarf box and bundle up!
When the first winter storm of the season rolls in each year and I pull out my warm clothes, I love going through my scarves. They are such a fun way to dress up and warm up at the same time. Each year I add one or two scarves to my collection!
Speaking of adding scarves to my collection...
Have you seen the new Rayon Batik Scarves we have for sale in the store?! They are just beautiful and feel so soft and warm! Come grab one to bundle up in!

Country Home Creations Dip Mixes
We have discovered a fantastic dip mix line that we now carry in the store (making us one of four places in New Mexico where you can pick these scrumptious creations up!). Up near the register you can now purchase Country Home Creations dip mixes in various flavors.
Each dip mix comes with two recipes on the package label. For more ideas on how to use each dip mix you can also find additional recipes on their website and in their cookbook (which we also carry!).
These dip mixes are selling for $4.99 each. Not sure yet if you want one? Come to Terrific Tuesdays! We showcase a new dip mix every month!

New Fabric, Great for Little Boys!
Have a little boy in your life (or one coming soon!) that needs a fun new blanket? We have some new fabrics and panels that you'll LOVE!
Just about every 4 year old boy I know loves Minions right now. I don't know what it is. The deviousness? The humor? The silliness? Maybe they just connect with them. Who knows. But they love them! We have a bright and fun Minon panel in that would make any boy happy! Donna made this adorable bright quilt featuring the Minon panel front and center.
Next up we have our Oceans of Fun fabric line. The cute whales, fish, and submarines make this a delightful choice for any baby blanket!
Have a boy that can't get enough of tractors? This panel is perfect! Use it as a blanket and a play mat with the roads, tractors, and landscape printed right on the panel. It's sure to be a hit!

Row by Row Experience
Anyone taking road trips this summer around the state? Out of state? We have the perfect experience for you! Rather than picking up a postcard at each stop, or getting a t-shirt, join in the Row by Row Experience!
Here's how this works:
Participating Quilt Shops have created a Row, all centered around the theme of water, that is unique to their store. When you visit the shop you can collect the free pattern to the Row they designed. Many will have kits available to buy as well if you want to be sure to get the exact fabrics for that row too. Collect as many or as few as you want, and then combine them to make quilts, wall hangings, table runners, etc. I like to think of it as collecting postcards that you can snuggle with!
So, here's the run down:
And now you are probably wondering what our Row looks like.
Our Gila River Row was designed by Sherelle Wilkerson and Karen Earlywine.
Now...just because I'm a nerd and I wanted to see what the route would look like to make one big loop around New Mexico to visit all 16 participating shops (get the addresses by clicking on the link). You could hop on at any point on this route and make the loop to visit every single NM shop, and it would bring you right back to where you started with minimal backtracking.
To follow this route would be 20 hours of driving. All in one go, that'd be long and hard, but break this up into a week and that's a nice fun road trip (that'd less than 3 hours of driving a day if you followed the exact route) with plenty of time to look around, meander, and check out the state!
The map above is a hybrid of two Google Maps (Google wouldn't allow me to put all 16 stops in one map, so I split it in two). But, here are the links for the two Google Maps for anyone interested:
Map #1 (Silver City through the southeast portion of the state and up to Las Vegas, NM)
Map #2 (Las Vegas, NM through Taos and down through the central/western run of the state)
Have fun with this! If you participate (and we hope you do!), send us photos of your finished Row by Row Project!

So, here's the run down:
- Collect patterns/rows between June 21-September 8, 2015.
- Patterns are FREE (but you do have to physically visit that shop to get it)
- Quilt shops in all 50 states and 9 of Canada's provinces (not Newfoundland) are participating, so wherever you go you can find a Row!

May 2015 Terrific Tuesday New Fabrics
Earlier this week at Terrific Tuesday we were able to showcase 3 new fabric sets! This first is called Victoria's Terrace. The blues and yellows are so vibrant, yet calming! They make me think of Summer hiding just around the corner.
This second set of fabrics is called Natural Wonders.
It really could go with so many fabrics and styles. They even fit with these fun skulls! (I couldn't resist putting those in a few shots...they're just too cool!)
And last, but definitely not least, are our new batiks. I'm just drawn to the red/orange one!

Terrific Tuesday Preview!
It's not often that we show you some of our Terrific Tuesday secrets before Tuesday...but we're just so excited about these that we can't help ourselves. Tomorrow we get to show off these fun fabric books (and sell the panels to make them)!
So soft, colorful, and fun! With the whole book being fabric there's no worry now about ripped pages, bent spines, or spilled milk warping the pages (not that that's happened to any of my son's books...). I can't wait to get my hands on these!

Metals and Shangri La Fabrics
We have some beautiful new fabrics in the store right now! The two new fabic lines are completely different from each other, but both so fun and gorgeous.
The first is the Metals line, featuring creams, coppers, and blacks (the coppers are metallic!). These would make a beautiful western quilt when paired together or can be mixed and matched with other fabrics to give a striking accent to any quilt.

Aren't those sweet?! They would make the cutest baby quilt, great flannel board paper dolls, or even a fun wall hanging for a vintage kitchen.
