Southwest Fabric-Birds and Pots

We sure do love this corner of the world that we live in. There is so much beauty in the drastic landscapes, the rich cultures and history of the area, and the art. It makes our Southwest hearts so happy when we find stunning fabric that represents our part of the country! Check out our new southwest fabrics with the beautiful pots and the great beige background bird print here, or even better-in person at the store!

Christmas Fabric and Panels

It's that time of year when time speeds up to warp speed. The holidays seem far off, but they will be here before we're ready! To help us all out we have some new Christmas fabric and projects in the store for you!

First, this beautiful advent calendar (with pockets!) made by Donna. It's beautiful and perfect for integrating a number of advent activities.

We have fun Cowboy Santa panels in the store as well! Donna put this throw together from both of the panels.

And finally, the Peppermint Penguins fabric. This would make an adorable quilt, wall hanging, pillow, Christmas apron, etc. I love the turquoise with the red!

New Fabric, Great for Little Boys!

Have a little boy in your life (or one coming soon!) that needs a fun new blanket? We have some new fabrics and panels that you'll LOVE!

Just about every 4 year old boy I know loves Minions right now. I don't know what it is. The deviousness? The humor? The silliness? Maybe they just connect with them. Who knows. But they love them! We have a bright and fun Minon panel in that would make any boy happy! Donna made this adorable bright quilt featuring the Minon panel front and center.

Next up we have our Oceans of Fun fabric line. The cute whales, fish, and submarines make this a delightful choice for any baby blanket!

Have a boy that can't get enough of tractors? This panel is perfect! Use it as a blanket and a play mat with the roads, tractors, and landscape printed right on the panel. It's sure to be a hit!

May 2015 Terrific Tuesday New Fabrics

Earlier this week at Terrific Tuesday we were able to showcase 3 new fabric sets! This first is called Victoria's Terrace. The blues and yellows are so vibrant, yet calming! They make me think of Summer hiding just around the corner.

This second set of fabrics is called Natural Wonders.

It really could go with so many fabrics and styles. They even fit with these fun skulls! (I couldn't resist putting those in a few shots...they're just too cool!)

And last, but definitely not least, are our new batiks. I'm just drawn to the red/orange one!

Terrific Tuesday Preview!

It's not often that we show you some of our Terrific Tuesday secrets before Tuesday...but we're just so excited about these that we can't help ourselves. Tomorrow we get to show off these fun fabric books (and sell the panels to make them)!

So soft, colorful, and fun! With the whole book being fabric there's no worry now about ripped pages, bent spines, or spilled milk warping the pages (not that that's happened to any of my son's books...). I can't wait to get my hands on these!

Basket of Food Fabric + Project Ideas

One of our favorite things about summer (especially late summer and early fall) is all the fresh garden produce and the farmer's markets. The smells! The flavors! The crisp colors! Oh we live in a beautiful world! We know it's barely just spring, but now is the perfect time to be thinking ahead to the projects you want to have finished by summer. In the store you can find out vibrant and fun basket of food fat quarters.

Love these fabrics but can't see them in a quilt? Here are some fun ideas that would be darling with these "flavorful" fabrics:

Hot pads! I especially love the pie hot pad. So clever! Find the book and patterns here.

Prairie Point Dish Towels! You could do all the points in one food print, or mix it up for a colorful towel as in the photo above. Find more photos of this project, as well as a link to the tutorial used, at Miss Abigail's Hope Chest.

Another fun idea for embellishing flour sack dish towels with cute fabric comes from Miss Abigail's Hope Chest. Check out the blog for the full tutorial.

Shoo-fly covers for drinks! Perfect for summer picnics, or for evenings sitting on the porch!

Can you tell I like pretty dish towels? I do! These would be simple to put together, but they add such a beautiful splash to the kitchen! Read about how these are put together over at Fig Tree Quilts.

More shoo-fly covers, only these are larger to fit bowls. Perfect for those 4th of July picnics, backyard parties, and summer events. Find the tutorial at The Sewing Dork.

And to finish this off, more dish towels! I love these cute but simple dishtowels from the Sweetwater blog. The little ruffles really dress this up!
