Improv Bag Class: Finished Totes!

Recently we held a class in the store to learn how to make the Improv Tote. We loved seeing the colors each of the talented women chose! Each has such personality to it!  Having the chance to come together, learn something new, visit, laugh, eat, sew, and then go home with a completed project DONE BY YOU is so fun and exciting. Thank you so much to these wonderful ladies for attending the class and letting us share their beautiful work!

Claudia's 2014-2015 Block of the Month

Claudia Toenies runs our Block of the Month group here in the store. They just started the new quilt for the year in November, so if you interested in joining in there is still time to catch up!

Classes are held the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 10:30am. You will need to buy your own fabric and pattern (patterns are for sale in the store), and each class costs $10.

Sisters of the Square Group

In this past year we've created a new group here in the store called the "Sisters of the Square". This is for anyone with the square in a square ruler by Jodi Barrows. Need help with a block? Not sure how to use your ruler? Want to socialize while you work on Square in a Square projects? This is the group for you!

We meet each month on the 1st Thursday in the upstairs classroom, and classes are free. Currently we are working on learning these blocks in 9 month Block of the Month series:

Each meeting we learn one of the blocks and give you our own fabric scraps to learn with. The blocks made with our scraps go towards the Charity Quilts we make for the cop cars and cancer center. If you want to use your own fabric feel free to bring it to work towards making a quilt of your own.

Small Block of the Month Classes

We have a great class series going on in the store right now! Claudia Toenies is teaching a small block of the month class on the 1st Wednesday of every month. Here are some of the past few month's squares:

She puts so much hard work and creative talent into these blocks, and we are so excited that she is willing to share that with all of us here in the store. Come join us these next few months to learn how to make the following squares (or to get help to make a previous month's square):
