One thing we love about the creative world is the constant flux of new ideas, fun hobbies, and great new techniques to learn. A rising interest in our area is machine embroidery. In fact, we have two machine embroidery classes/groups that meet here in our store! It is always so fun to see the projects they work on and the beautiful stitchery they produce.

With the rising interest, the need for embroidery products has jumped, and we're so excited to show you what we now offer!

  
We have blanks, batting, canvases, thread, patterns, stabilizers, scissors, one stocking left over from Christmas, and more!

And, as always, if you find yourself in need of an embroidery project we don't carry, we would be more than happy to look it up in our catalog and put in and order for you.

Terri's "Piece in the Hoop" Machine Embroidery Classes

Here in a couple of weeks Terri will be starting up her Machine Embroidery Groups again! The first project on the books will be this beautiful Love Placard from the Piece in the Hoop book (part of the class curriculum; this book is available to buy at the store).

Supply list:

Fabric for Blocks:

• Twenty strips in various shades of pink, 1" wide and up to 3" long. 
• Four white 4" squares for the centers

Fabric for Sashing:

• Five pink 2x6" strips
• Two pink 2x27" strips

Fabric for Borders:

• Two pink 3.5"x33" strips
• Two pink 3.5"x15" strips
• Two white 1.5"x7.5" strips, folded in half 
• Two white 1.5"x27" strips, folded in half

Fabric for Backing:

• One 15"x33" rectangle

Fabric for Binding:

• One 6"x40" strip

Batting:

• One 15"x33" rectangle

Thread

• Pink Embroidery Thread
• Neutral cotton thread for piecing

Embroidery Machine Goodies

 We have expanded our line of Machine Embroidery goodies. We are carrying several brands of stabilizers including OESD. We have Isacord thread in 50 wonderful colors. We have a good supply of blanks to embroidery on including aprons, canvas totes and table runners, burlap table runners, and Christmas Stockings. We also have 2 classes meeting each month where you can learn new techniques in machine embroidery. Terri Summers is a fantastic teacher! Come in and see what we have!
