Brand New Year & New Classes

Wow! A brand New Year is here and with it comes great new classes. We are excited about many things at the store. New products, new fabric (10 great new batkis), sales,and just lots of fun. I hope for all of you a super New Year and hope to see you often durning 2011. Classes are listed to the right for January and February with some great pictures following here.

Torn Fabric Wreath Class

Monday January 24th

This will be a great class that also has great possibilities for adding great seasonal decorations to you home. This wreath is done for Valentines, but imagine one with great spring colored fabrics and even plastic Easter eggs!

Magic Strips and Squares Class

Sat Jan 22nd and a second class on Tue Feb 15th.

I made a Valentine's table runner with this great method, but you could make quilts, baby blankets,and a whole bunch more. The techniques is easy and requires basic quilting tools.

Hot Pants Potholder

Monday Jan 17th

Wouldn't these be so cute for all seasons or holidays. Just imagine a bright pink or red set with lace showing at the legs or shamrocks, easter eggs, etc. Come learn how to make these easy creations and then let you imagination flow.

On to September

Wow, what a great summer we have had. Deanna has been very busy and has the store all prepared for this my favorite season. We have a super lineup of classes coming in September ands some of them are already getting filled up fast. I'll comment on a few of them here. Many of the ladies from our card making classes wanted to have a stamp swap. There will be table space in the classroom at the store on Sept 11th, come bring your unwanted wood mount or clear stamps and trade or buy at low prices. Also starting that day and running for the remainder of September we will be having a 40 percent off sale at the store on all wood mount stamps. This will be a fun day and a great opportunity to visit and make great buys so please plan on dropping by.

August Beginnings

Happy August to everyone! What a beautiful month this has been so far, a little warm but beautiful. With August the seasons seem to be slowing changing into my favorite one of the year, Fall. The kids are back in school and things seem to just calm down a touch. And many people start thinking about all those projects they want to work on. To help you with those great creations, I have added some laces to the inventory and of course we have a good supply of ribbons. We also are carrying a lot of flowers, suitable for making all those great hair decorations that all the cool girls are wearing these days. Come by the store to look around and visit.

Weekly Update

Wow, what a great summer this has been. We have had lots of great rain and things are so green. I can't believe that it is almost time for school to start here again. I have decided to celebrate the last good days of summer with a week long 20% off Fabric Sale, Saturday July 31 - Friday Aug 6. Select fabrics in the store will be on sale, so come in and add to your stash or buy what you need to start on that project you have been putting off. And coming soon look for great quilt kits in the store.

I am also now doing long arm quilting for customers. Here is a quilt I was able to quilt for my friend Nelda Brown. I have many patterns and thread to choose from.
